Jets to Bring Back Braylon Edwards

Last season the Jets had no problem letting Braylon Edwards leave to eventually sign for a small contract (by NFL standards) with the 49ers. The Jets thought they had replaced him with a tall, athletic WR who was a threat in the red zone and capable of making amazing catches, that replacement was the failed project of Plaxico Burress. The Jets “stole” Burress away from their city rivals, the Giants, and were ready to claim themselves as the city’s team. Unfortunately, the Burress signing flopped and the Jets have no interest in bringing him back next season, nor does he have any interest in returning to the New York Jets.

But what’s most surprising is that after Edwards had only 15 receptions for 181 yards, it’s being reported that the Jets are interested in bringing him back when Free Agency starts. This will be a very questionable move for the Jets if they decide to go ahead with it, most people would just suggest drafting a WR and letting him develop chemistry with their QB, Mark Sanchez. That is, if they don’t end up with Peyton Manning…
