According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini Darrelle Revis and Stephen Hill were limited participants in practice today for the Jets. Cimini wrote via twitter, “Revis cleared for physical activity but still won’t practice today. So, in other words Revis is able to do everything expect contact and it is only Wednesday. It seems like a long shot that he will be out Sunday but of course you never really know with concussions. Anytime you are in jeopardy of losing your best defensive player and arguably the leagues best it is not good news. It is especially not good news when you are preparing to play one of the most potent receiving cores in the league. The Jets would have a tough job containing Wallace and Antonio Brown without Revis. If Revis does play chances are he will be shadowing one of these two guys the entire game depending on the situation.
Regarding Stephen Hill Cimini said, ” Hill limited with calf” and “Hill looks okay in positional drills.” This is something to watch but does not seem like much of a concern whatsoever. The Jets were taking precaution by keeping him out of team drills which is common practice now that regular season underway. It will be interesting to see if Hill can have another stand out performance against a much better Pittsburgh secondary this Sunday. His physicality that he displayed Sunday should bode well for him against an always physical Steelers defense.
