Traveling to Foxboro and getting a win is no easy task for an NFL team, but in recent history the Jets have shown it to be possible. The last time the Jets won in New England was in the 2010 divisional round of the playoffs and they are ready to get back on track today. Here are some things that are going to need to happen for a win.
Offense: Last week the Jets displayed their formula to victory and it was pretty simple. Run the ball well with Shonn Greene. If Greene is able to run the ball effectively, this will in turn make Sanchez better. Running the ball up the middle at will like the Jets did last week will not be an option with all-pro Vince Wilfork parked there. Whether or not Joe McKnight (Game-time decision) plays will make a difference in the game plan. Running outside the tackles will need to be a focus today. The Patriots secondary has been dreadful so far this season. Sanchez MUST take advantage of this. For the Jets to win Mark is going to have to play his best game of the season.
Defense: It all starts up front with the defense today. The run must be stopped and Brady needs to be pressured, if he is standing back with time he will pick any defense apart. The key guys here are Muhammed Wilkerson and Quinton Coples. If these 2 guys can play as well as they did last week against Indy the Jets can win this football game.
A lot is going to have to break right for a Jets win today, but I think it is possible. With the right game plan and big plays from certain players it will happen.
