Week 8 Preview: Jets vs. Dolphins

Hurricane Sandy is on the minds of everyone in the New York area. Before Sandy can do her inevitable damage, the Jets need to do their own damage to a division rival. There has been a lot of chatter back and forth between the Jets and the Dolphins leading up to this matchup and frankly I am sick of it. I am ready to watch a football game, let the talking be done on the field.

Coming off the excruciating loss to New England the Jets can ill afford another loss at home today. A loss would make them 3-5 going into their bye week on the outside looking in, in what is a weak AFC this season. Although the Jets are a better team then Miami, this is never an easy game. These two teams hate each other we know that, and when that is the case it is always a tough game. I would love nothing more then to see the Jets stick it to the Dolphins today. For a team that has not won anything in quite a long time they really have a lot to say. Look for the Jets to shut up these losers today with a strong defensive effort. Rookie Demario Davis will have a coming out party as he replaces the injured Bart Scott. Jets in an ugly game win 21-10.

Jets inactives: Bart Scott, Greg McElroy, Bilal Powell, Eric Smith, Damon Harrison, Jeff Cumberland and Kenrick Ellis.

Sione Po’uha returns today, and Joe McKnight will be available as well.
