Latest on Dee Milliner

On August 10th, Dee Milliner suffered a high-ankle sprain in practice. After a rough rookie season, this injury came as bad news to the Jets.  Drafted ninth overall in last year’s draft, the expectations for Milliner were over-exaggerated as he was immediately viewed as the replacement for Darrelle Revis. At the time, Milliner was excited […]

Breaking Down the Ford and Patterson Signings

The New York Jets announced a pair of signings on Tuesday evening coming to terms with WR Jacoby Ford and CB Dimitri Patterson. REPORT: Jets to work out Brandin Cooks

The New York Jets, who will be picking 18th overall in next month’s NFL Draft, will bring in Oregon State WR Brandin Cooks for a pre-draft workout per Rich Cimini. Cooks had an amazing season in 2013 for the Beavers 128 passes for 1730 yards and 16 touchdowns. The Jets are in serious need of a playmaking WR despite the additions of Eric Decker and Jacoby Ford.

Will Cooks be on the board when the Jets pick though? Cooks ran a blazing fast 4.33 forty yard dash at the NFL scouting combine last month which has him rising up mock drafts across the internet. He also put up the best 60-yard shuttle time since 2006.

New York has seemingly been linked to every wide receiver in Free Agency and next months draft. Many Jets fans were disappointed that John Idzik did not make a play for DeSean Jackson when he was released by the Eagles last week. Cooks may be the guy the Jets have been targeting all along.

Cooks certainly isn’t lacking confidence, “I feel like I’m the best receiver in this class and I’m not just saying that to say it,” Cooks said. “I put numbers that nobody else did this year. At the same time I was facing premier talent.”

Who do you want the Jets to pick in the first round?

Jets roll on to Philly

The Jets needed to take out the injury ridden Chiefs at home to stay on track for one of the two wild card spots in the AFC. It did not seem as though it would be much of a tough game for New York and right from the get go it was not. The Jets […]
